Portillo’s Inc. in Fishers, Indiana seeks an Assistant General Manager to lead a high-performing team and deliver exceptional guest experiences. The role focuses on coaching, scheduling, budgeting, and ensuring food safety while driving sales and guest satisfaction.

The position requires strong leadership, P&L understanding, and the ability to manage a dynamic, fast-paced restaurant environment with a focus on hospitality and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in restaurant management or 1 year as AGM/GM in high-volume setting.
• Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, including recruiting, food planning, purchasing, sanitation, health standards, and security.
• Demonstrated ability to champion hospitality and motivate team members.
• Excellent leadership and coaching skills with a focus on excellence.
• Financial acumen with understanding of P&L responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Model operational standards and execute critical behaviors to run great shifts and create lifelong memories for guests and team members.
• Drive sales and profits by executing operational standards.
• Oversee shift planning, scheduling, training execution, and daily routines.
• Develop team members through IDPs and Ignite programs.
• Deliver exceptional guest experiences and foster connections.
• Promote team engagement through recognition and communication.
• Meet and exceed budget and profitability goals.
• Ensure health, quality, and food safety compliance.
• Lead recruitment to maintain staffing focused on Portillo’s experience.
• Plan inventory, budget, and labor decisions.
