Job summary

SONIC Drive-In in Grand Prairie, TX is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead a busy restaurant team. You will train and coach Crew, schedule shifts, monitor inventory, control costs and ensure a safe, friendly guest experience.

The role requires 2+ years in restaurant management, strong leadership, and knowledge of labor laws. You will open/close, hire staff, develop marketing plans and prepare operational reports to drive sales and profitability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced studies in business/restaurant management preferred.
• Minimum of two years restaurant management experience (QSR preferred).
• Ability to work a minimum 5 day workweek with 4 closing shifts (or 4 day week) including irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing and selection practices.
• Knowledge of federal/state labor laws and local health/sanitation regulations.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills; effective verbal and written communication.
• Basic accounting and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Train, monitor and coach crew, carhops and skating carhops.
• Direct and assign employees to meet service standards.
• Open/close the restaurant and prepare schedules.
• Monitor inventory and place orders within cost controls.
• Maintain employment records and payroll documentation.
• Address guest requests and resolve complaints.
• Interview and hire staff to achieve staffing goals.
• Prepare operational reports and develop action plans to address sales trends.
• Develop and implement marketing plans.
