Job summary

Invitation Homes in Minneapolis is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform repairs across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and minor HVAC in rental homes. You will complete proactive maintenance, document results in the maintenance app, and ensure work is done in a single visit whenever possible.

Qualifications

• 2–5+ years of proven experience in residential repairs and maintenance
• OSHA 10 certification is required (new hires have 90 days to complete)
• Ability to read and interpret maintenance-related documents and schematics
• Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance are required
• Excellent customer service and communication skills; multilingual a plus

Responsibilities

• Complete maintenance service requests across multiple trades in rental homes
• Provide excellent customer service and promote quality living experiences for residents
• Perform repairs with respect for residents’ homes and safety guidelines
• Conduct ProCare visits and proactive maintenance within mobile app workflows
• Maintain and operate company-provided tools and vehicles
• Review upcoming appointments to ensure single-visit completion
• Assist in property condition assessments and alert management to urgent issues
• Adhere to safety guidelines and perform other duties as assigned
