Job summary

Progress Residential is seeking a Service Technician II to inspect, troubleshoot and repair various systems in our single-family homes. You will perform scheduled and emergency maintenance, ensuring high-quality resident experiences and cost controls.

You must have at least 3 years of general maintenance experience; EPA certification is required; ownership of your own tools is expected. Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to work on-call, including weekends/evenings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Technical College or Trade Program with HVAC Certification is preferred.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License in the working state.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in general service and maintenance (painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, drywall repair, etc.).
• Employee must have their own tools required for residential service.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance including replacement and repairs of electrical, plumbing, appliances, HVAC items and related systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot basic HVAC items such as thermostat, batteries and filters.
• Report major repairs or expenditures prior to any costs.
• Maintain property safety and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Complete service requests in a timely, professional manner and maintain organized workspace.
