Job summary

WSP is seeking a Resident Engineer for Seattle or Tacoma to lead construction management on transportation, municipal, utility, and public infrastructure projects throughout Washington and the Pacific Northwest. The successful candidate will act as the Owner's primary field representative, overseeing contract administration, documentation, and coordination with inspectors.

A Civil Engineering or Construction Management background with 10+ years of experience is required; PE preferred and travel

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 10+ years of construction management, construction engineering, inspection, or public works experience.
• Experience as Resident Engineer/Construction Manager/Assistant Resident Engineer or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary field representative for the Owner.
• Lead daily construction administration for transportation, bridge, roadway, utility projects.
• Supervise inspectors, office engineers, and document control staff.
• Review plans, specs, RFIs, submittals, schedules, changes.
• Monitor contractor performance for compliance and safety.
