Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a dynamic Resident Engineer/Project Manager for the Vancouver, WA office with Portland, OR as an additional location. Lead major transportation projects while developing client relationships and growing WSP Construction Management in the Pacific Northwest.

The candidate should have 12+ years of PM/RE experience on highway/infrastructure projects, a PE in OR/WA, and the ability to collaborate across locations, travel as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management or relevant field.
• Minimum 12 years of experience with PM/RE on highway, infrastructure, or transit projects.
• PE license in Oregon or Washington.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships.
• Familiar with construction management marketing and PM/CE roles.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong client relationships with WSDOT, ODOT, cities, counties, ports, and transit agencies.
• Lead marketing and networking activities to win project pursuits and build strategic teaming partners.
• Create staffing plans and schedules to meet task requirements while delivering technical excellence.
• Collaborate with other WSP leads and project managers; manage sub-consultants and project teams.
• Supervise field inspection and office personnel and conduct performance reviews; ensure quality control.
• Apply construction engineering knowledge and make decisions on complex challenges.
• Travel as needed; adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and policies.
