Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Technical Project Manager, Civil Engineer to join our Washington transportation team. The role supports cross-functional leadership across budgets, schedules, and technical delivery for mid-to-large civil projects in Tacoma, Seattle, or Portland offices.

The candidate must have a WA PE license, 10+ years in transportation sectors, and 5+ years of project management experience, with strong knowledge of local practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or related major or equivalent experience.
  • WA Professional Engineering license required.
  • 10+ years of post-education experience in roadway/highway/site development/transit design within Transportation.
  • Minimum 5+ years’ project management experience on transportation infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with Sound Transit, WSDOT, and City of Seattle engineering practices.
  • Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, design/build, and permitting processes.
  • Experience with project delivery in the A/E/C industry and management responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee cross-functional teams to manage budgets, hours, expenses, deliverables, and compliance.
  • Support long-term strategy, growth, and pipeline development for Civil Engineering work.
  • Lead proposal and project scope, timelines, pricing, and budgets in compliance with codes.
  • Supervise subcontractors and staff; ensure QA/QC adherence.
  • Provide strategic inputs to multi-disciplinary teams and clients.
  • Uphold WSP Code of Conduct and safety policies.

Education
