Job summary

Meta is seeking an Energy Analytics Manager on the Global Energy team. You will contribute to deploying Meta’s global energy strategy by managing a cost-competitive, clean and renewable energy-based supply portfolio that aligns with the company’s strategic objectives.

In this role you will own the renewable energy data portfolio, forecast energy cost and generation, partner with Finance, create scalable analytics tools, and work with utilities, vendors and cross-functional teams to report on

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, energy, or a relevant technical discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in energy analysis, energy finance, or renewable energy portfolio management.
• Experience with renewable energy settlements, energy contract management, renewable energy tracking systems and/or invoicing.
• Experience analyzing renewable energy cost and generation data, virtual PPAs, green tariffs, and wholesale energy market data.
• Experienced in building data foundations and analytical tools.
• Experience in Excel/Google Sheets and working with large data sets.
• Experience in building cross-functional relationships.
• Experience with PowerPoint/Google Slides and presenting quantitative data.

Responsibilities

• Own the renewable energy data portfolio. Track, analyze and report on energy project costs, generation, availability & profitability.
• Create and maintain forecasts of energy cost and generation using forecasts, schedules and historical data.
• Work with Finance and Accounting to supply renewable energy financial information for reporting.
• Provide insight for ad-hoc inquiries from cross-functional partners.
• Build scalable tools and processes to enhance analytical efficiency and support portfolio analytics.
• Work with 3rd party vendors to validate and analyze monthly settlements and energy invoices.
• Collaborate with utilities and suppliers to ensure timely payment of invoices and issue resolution.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to report on renewable energy purchases, energy consumption and REC retirement toward targets.
