Job summary

Meta’s Global Energy team seeks an Energy Analytics Manager to help deploy the company’s clean energy strategy by building and managing a cost-competitive renewable energy portfolio.

You will own the renewable energy data portfolio, forecast energy costs and generation, and collaborate with Finance and internal partners to provide insights for reporting and decision making. The role emphasizes scalable analytics tooling and cross-functional partnerships to advance Meta’s energy targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, energy, or a relevant technical discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in energy analysis, energy finance, or renewable energy portfolio management.
• Experience with renewable energy settlements, energy contract management, renewable energy tracking systems and/or invoicing.
• Experience analyzing and interpreting renewable energy cost and generation data, virtual PPAs, green tariffs, and wholesale energy market data.
• Experienced in building data foundations and analytical tools.
• Experience in Excel/Google Sheets and working with large data sets.
• Experience in building cross-functional relationships.
• Experience with PowerPoint/Google Slides and presenting quantitative data.

Responsibilities

• Own the renewable energy data portfolio. Track, analyze and report on project gross cost, net cost, generation, availability, and profitability.
• Create and maintain forecasts of energy cost and generation from renewable energy projects.
• Work with Finance and Accounting to supply renewable energy financial information for reporting.
• Provide insight for ad-hoc inquiries from cross-functional partners.
• Build scalable tools and processes to enhance analytical efficiency.
• Work with 3rd party vendors to validate and analyze monthly settlements and energy invoices.
• Coordinate with utilities and internal partners to ensure timely payment of invoices and resolve issues.
• Coordinate reporting on Meta’s renewable energy purchases, energy consumption, and REC retirement toward targets.
