Job summary

Meta's Global Energy team seeks an Energy Analytics Manager to help deploy the company's renewable energy strategy by building a cost-competitive, clean energy portfolio and supporting strategic objectives.

You will own data on project costs, generation, and profitability; forecast energy costs; coordinate with Finance and internal partners for reporting and budgeting; and develop scalable tools that enhance analytic efficiency.

Qualifications

• Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a Bachelor's degree in business, finance, energy, or a relevant technical discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in energy analysis, energy finance, or renewable energy portfolio management.
• Experience with renewable energy settlements, energy contract management, renewable energy tracking systems and/or invoicing.
• Experience analyzing and interpreting renewable energy cost and generation data, virtual PPAs, green tariffs, and wholesale energy market data.
• Experienced in building data foundations and analytical tools.
• Experience in Excel/Google Sheets and working with large data sets.
• Experience in building cross-functional relationships.
• Experience with PowerPoint/Google Slides and presenting quantitative data.

Responsibilities

• Own the renewable energy data portfolio. Track, analyze and report on project gross cost, net cost, generation, availability, and profitability.
• Create and maintain forecasts of energy cost and generation from renewable energy projects.
• Work with Finance and Accounting and internal partners to supply renewable energy financial information to support financial reporting.
• Provide insight for ad-hoc, bespoke inquiries from cross-functional partners.
• Build scalable tools and processes to enhance analytical efficiency and scale the portfolio's performance analytics.
• Work with 3rd party vendors to validate and analyze monthly settlements and energy invoices.
• Work with utilities and suppliers to ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices and resolve issues.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to report on Meta’s renewable energy purchases, energy consumption, and RECs retirement.
