Job summary

GE Appliances is seeking a Senior Product Service Specialist – Water Heaters to serve as a technical resource for heat pump, gas, and electric water heaters. You will provide service support, guidance, and troubleshooting, coordinating with engineering, quality, product management, and service teams.

This remote role (US only) requires residing in Central or Eastern Time Zone, with 5+ years in field service or technical support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant field service or technical product support experience.
• Experience supporting, servicing, installing, or troubleshooting water heaters (heat pump, gas, or electric).
• Ability to read and apply technical documents such as installation instructions, service manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary technical resource for installation, operation, troubleshooting and service-related questions for water heaters.
• Support field investigations with data gathering and root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality and product management to improve serviceability and customer experience.
• Track field issues and communicate trends to stakeholders.
• Author and maintain service bulletins, FAQs, and troubleshooting guides.
