Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a senior SCADA Design Lead to manage in-house SCADA monitoring and control systems for utility-scale projects across Solar PV, Wind, and BESS. You will lead design workstreams, draft and review wiring diagrams, diagrams, BOMs, and server/network specs, while mentoring junior engineers and aligning with SOLV OT for hardware requirements.

You will utilize AutoCAD and Visio to produce high-quality designs, drive standards, and support commissioning readiness and long-term

Qualifications

• Direct experience in SCADA engineering.
• Advanced knowledge of Layer 2/3 networking concepts and architectures.
• Advanced knowledge of SCADA networks using Fiber Optics, RS-232/RS-485, Ethernet TCP/IP.
• Advanced knowledge of industrial automation protocols and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex SCADA design workstreams for utility-scale PV, BESS, and wind projects.
• Develop comprehensive SCADA designs using AutoCAD, Visio, and related tools.
• Define and improve SCADA design standards and best practices.
• Review scope documents and approve diagrams, port maps, and BOMs for SCADA racks and enclosures.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with SOLV OT on hardware requirements.
• Drive standardization to reduce design and commissioning effort and improve consistency.
• Coordinate with customers and field teams for commissioning and FAT support.
• Ensure compliance with NERC and SOLV standards.
