Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking an experienced agile leader to manage and optimize the flow of value through the Agile Release Train (ART) and mentor Scrum Masters and teams. This role supports planning commitments, removes impediments, and drives continuous improvement in a remote, east-coast schedule.

You will collaborate with Product Managers, Portfolio Management, and stakeholders, report on ART metrics, and oversee resource allocations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• SAFe SPC certification required or equivalent; SAFe SM or RTE certifications preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience in RTE, SM, SAFe Coach or equivalent.
• Experience transitioning new agile teams in a SAFe environment.
• 3 years of supervisory or management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead ART cadence including ART Syncs, Backlog Refinement, System Demos, Inspect & Adapt and PI Planning (remote or in-person).
• Collaborate with Portfolio Management, Product Managers, Product Owners, SMs, System Architect, and stakeholders.
• Report on ART metrics and Program Increment progress and impediments.
• Mentor SMs and team coaches; Onboard new SMs as needed.
• Partner with Transformation Coach Agile CoE to develop and reinforce agile team execution standards.
• Build high-performing SMs and establish mission and purpose for SMs.
• Manage a team including hiring, training, coaching, evaluating and managing performance.
