Job summary

The American Red Cross in the United States is seeking an experienced Release Train Engineer/SAFe Coach to optimize the flow of value through the Agile Release Train by promoting systems thinking, facilitating planning, and guiding teams toward continuous improvement.

This is a 100% remote role with an east coast schedule. Required: SAFe SPC, 5+ years in RTE/SM/SAFe coaching, 3 years of management; strong collaboration with stakeholders; Jira/Confluence expertise; travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required.
SAFe SPC certification required; SAFe SM or RTE certifications preferred.
Minimum 5 years of related experience in RTE, SM, SAFe Coach or equivalent.
Experience transitioning new agile teams in a SAFe environment.
3 years of supervisory or management experience.

Responsibilities

Lead ART cadence including ART Syncs, Backlog Refinement, System Demos, Inspect and Adapt, and PI Planning (remote or in-person).
Collaborate with Portfolio Management, Product Managers, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, System Architect, stakeholders, and customers.
Report on ART metrics and Program Increment progress and impediments.
Mentor SMs and onboard new SMs as needed.
Partner with Agile CoE to reinforce execution standards and SAFe trainings.
Develop high-performing SMs and establish clear mission for SMs.
Manage a team including hiring, training, coaching, evaluating and allocating resources.
