Job summary

Hanover Insurance Group, Inc. seeks a Senior Technical Property Adjuster for a fully remote, exempt role focused on high-value field property service claims.

You will independently investigate complex matters, assess coverage, and negotiate outcomes, with mobility required for travel on short notice. You will collaborate with legal, underwriting, vendors, and agents, lead important investigations, and act as a technical resource for other adjusters, while ensuring compliance and data integrity

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience; typically 8+ years of industry experience.
• Recognized authority in negotiating highly complex claims; shapes and implements best practices.
• Fluent in Xactimate usage with level 3 certification or the ability to achieve.
• Strong knowledge of local geography, regulations, and public safety agencies; ability to build rapport with insureds.

Responsibilities

• Independently investigate highly complex field property service claims; CAT response as needed.
• Lead investigations, assess coverage, and issue reservation of rights and letters.
• Collaborate with internal and external experts to evaluate claims and determine value.
• Lead cross-functional meetings; communicate complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
• Mentor junior adjusters and contribute to best practices.
