Job summary

The Hanover Insurance Group in the United States is seeking a Virtual Senior Field Property Adjuster to handle moderate to high-value field property claims. This remote, full-time position requires advanced investigation, evaluation, and negotiation skills, with travel on short notice and EST/CST-time availability.

You will independently manage claims, coordinate with internal and external teams, and mentor junior adjusters while upholding regulatory and company standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with claim handling.
• Typically requires 5–10 years of adjusting experience.
• Must have and maintain appropriate state adjuster licenses and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage field property claims, including those requiring outside investigations and CAT response.
• Lead thorough investigations, assess coverage, and issue documentation such as reservation of rights and coverage letters.
• Identify and pursue opportunities to transfer risk to appropriate entities for insureds and partners.
• Maintain comprehensive claim records and ensure regulatory and company standards compliance.
• Set reserves, authorize payments, and make financial decisions within authority.
