Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group in the United States is seeking a Sr. Litigation Specialist for a remote role. You will own complex litigated auto and homeowners matters, guide defense counsel, evaluate settlements, and establish settlement authority while balancing defense costs and indemnity.

You will manage outside counsel budgets and participate in mediations and settlement conferences. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with experience in insurance claims and senior casualty

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, insurance or risk management, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
• High School diploma required.
• A proven experience handling insurance claims.
• Prior Senior Casualty experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to travel and to work extended hours and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Takes ownership of complex litigated claims involving auto and homeowners matters.
• Shapes claim strategy by directing defense counsel and evaluating settlements.
• Establishes settlement authority and participates in negotiations.
• Balances defense costs and indemnity to achieve fair, timely resolutions.
• Manages budget for outside counsel and reviews defense expenses.
• Presents recommendations to local and executive management for litigated cases.
