Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group is seeking a Sr. Litigation Specialist (Remote) to own complex litigated auto and homeowners claims, guiding defense strategy and settlement opportunities from a remote location across multiple states.

You will set settlement authority, work with defense counsel, and focus on timely, fair resolutions while managing defense costs and indemnity exposure. Travel may be required for enterprise meetings and mediations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, insurance or risk management, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
• High School diploma required.
• A proven experience handling insurance claims.
• Proficiency or ability to become proficient in the handling of litigated claims.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes claims, examining facts of the loss and applicable factors.
• Creates discovery plan incl. depositions, retention of experts, IMEs, accident reconstruction for first and third-party claims.
• Directs defense counsel with authority for resolution; balances costs and indemnity.
• Reviews liability, damages, coverage, and risk for settlements.
• Collaborates with defense counsel to strategize negotiations and mediations.
• Monitors budget for outside counsel and analyzes defense expenses.
