Job summary

CopperPoint Insurance Companies is seeking a Senior Remote Workers’ Compensation Claims Adjuster with strong indemnity experience and Arizona jurisdiction expertise. The role requires handling time loss claims, ensuring timely indemnity and medical payments, and maintaining proactive reserves.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, communications, or a related field (preferred).
• At least 3 years of experience handling/adjusting workers’ compensation claims.
• Arizona workers’ compensation claims management experience is required.
• Experience/licensure in MO, CO, UT, KS, NM, NV, OK and/or TX highly preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
• Strong technical workers’ compensation knowledge.
• Knowledge of DOI, NCCI, and CDLE rules and regulations.
• Ability to analyze, interpret and apply laws and regulations pertaining to workers’ compensation.
• Ability to stay current with changes to statutory and industry rules and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Analyze indemnity claims to determine compensability.
• Adjudicate claims to ensure timely indemnity and medical payments.
• Document communications and claim management activities.
• Develop action plans and reserves for indemnity claims.
• Maintain cost drivers for accurate reporting (NCCI/Medicare).
• Proactively manage claims to resolution.
• Identify settlement opportunities and negotiate with claimants/attorneys.
• Testify at hearings when necessary.
