Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Facets Product and Benefits Consultant to design, configure, and implement healthcare products on the Facets platform. You will work with stakeholders across operations, claims, product, networks, QA, and technology to deliver compliant, scalable benefit solutions for effective claims adjudication and member experiences.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of healthcare payer experience.
• At least 4 years of hands-on Facets Product and Benefits configuration experience.
• Strong expertise in healthcare benefit design including copays, coinsurance, deductibles, and network variations.
• Deep understanding of how configuration impacts claims adjudication, pricing, eligibility, and membership processing.
• Experience documenting requirements, solution designs, configuration analysis, and end-to-end testing.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience supporting Commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, or other payer lines.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business, operational, and regulatory requirements and translate them into Facets configurations.
• Design healthcare products, benefit structures, accumulators, cost-sharing models, and network-based rules.
• Configure, validate, and maintain Facets components ensuring quality and scalability.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to assess impacts across claims, pricing, provider networks, eligibility, and downstream systems.
• Develop test scenarios and validate claims outcomes for deductibles, copays, coinsurance, OOP max, accumulators, and network variations.
• Troubleshoot configuration issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement resolutions.
• Support production implementations, product launches, benefit updates, and post-production stabilization.
