Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Facets Product & Benefits Consultant to design, configure, test, and implement healthcare products and benefit plans within the Facets platform. This remote US role collaborates with business analysts, claims teams, product owners, and technology stakeholders to deliver scalable, compliant benefit solutions.

Required is 6+ years of healthcare payer experience with at least 4 years in Facets configuration, plus a strong grasp of benefit design, testing, and end-to-end

Qualifications

• 6+ years of healthcare payer experience, including at least 4 years with Facets Product & Benefits configuration.
• Strong expertise in Facets configuration, implementation, and troubleshooting.
• Deep understanding of healthcare benefit design, including copays, deductibles, and network variations.
• Experience translating business requirements into scalable configuration solutions.
• Knowledge of how benefit configuration relates to claims adjudication, pricing, and eligibility.
• Experience supporting end-to-end testing, defect resolution, and production validation.
• Bachelor's degree in IT, Business, Healthcare Admin, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Analyze benefit requirements and regulatory mandates to design Facets configurations.
• Configure and maintain Facets Product & Benefits components for accurate administration and adjudication.
• Assess impacts across membership, provider networks, pricing, accumulators, and downstream integrations.
• Develop configuration documentation and mapping artifacts for implementation.
• Create and execute testing scenarios to validate benefit logic (deductibles, copays, coinsurance, OOP maximums).
• Troubleshoot defects and implement sustainable solutions.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to support product launches and production deployments.
