Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Facets Product and Benefits Consultant for a remote US-based role. You will design, configure, and implement healthcare products and benefit plans within the Facets platform, collaborating with stakeholders across payer operations to deliver compliant and scalable solutions.

You will design benefit structures, accumulators, cost-sharing models, and network-based rules, while ensuring accuracy in claims adjudication and member experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Business, Healthcare Administration or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of healthcare payer experience with at least 4 years configuring Facets Product & Benefits.
• Strong expertise in health plan design: copays, coinsurance, deductibles and network variations.
• Understand impact of configuration on claims adjudication, pricing, eligibility and membership.
• Experience documenting requirements, designing solutions, configuring analysis, and testing.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience supporting Commercial, Medicare, Medicaid or other payer lines.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements and translate into Facets Product and Benefits configurations.
• Design benefit structures, accumulators, cost-sharing, coverage tiers and networks.
• Configure, validate, and maintain Facets components for quality and scalability.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to assess impacts across claims, pricing, eligibility, and downstream systems.
• Develop test scenarios and validate outcomes for deductibles, copays, coinsurance, and OOP maximums.
• Troubleshoot configuration issues, perform root cause analysis and apply sustainable resolutions.
• Support production implementations, launches, updates, releases, and post-production stabilization.
