Job summary

Veritas Search Group is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to support complex construction and special projects through coordination, scheduling, budgeting, vendor management, and project tracking. The PM will relieve senior staff of day-to-day coordination so they can focus on design and advisory work, while ensuring schedules, budgets, invoices, and deliverables stay on track.

Qualifications

• Professional experience in construction project management or coordination.
• Strong understanding of construction project phases, sequencing, dependencies, and trade coordination.
• Familiarity with common construction terminology and processes.
• Understanding of project budgeting, cost tracking, and financial reporting.
• Ability to understand and work with rough-order-of-magnitude cost estimates.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong spreadsheet, tracking, and reporting capabilities.
• Experience coordinating vendors, contractors, architects, consultants, or other project stakeholders.
• Ability to independently manage multiple projects, priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to identify problems before they affect project schedules or deliverables.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to professionally manage expectations and follow up with senior team members regarding deadlines.
• High degree of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential client and project information.
• Proactive, self-directed approach to project management.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day coordination across multiple active construction and special projects.
• Develop, maintain, and monitor project schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
• Coordinate vendors throughout the project delivery lifecycle.
• Ensure vendor activities align with project schedules and overall construction requirements.
• Work closely with architects, general contractors, consultants, vendors, and other construction trades.
• Track project budgets and provide regular updates regarding project financial status.
• Review and monitor vendor invoices to ensure accuracy and proper processing.
• Maintain detailed project trackers, spreadsheets, schedules, and financial documentation.
• Monitor project deadlines and proactively identify potential delays. Follow up with internal team members regarding outstanding deliverables and upcoming deadlines.
• Hold senior project stakeholders accountable for commitments and deliverables while maintaining strong working relationships.
• Escalate scheduling, budget, vendor, or project issues before they negatively impact delivery.
• Coordinate meetings, schedules, documentation, and project communications.
• Track dependencies between trades, vendors, consultants, and internal resources.
• Maintain accurate records of project status, budgets, invoices, and outstanding action items.
• Provide clear and timely project updates to leadership and project stakeholders.
• Assist with rough-order-of-magnitude budget planning and project cost tracking.
• Serve as the central coordination point responsible for keeping projects organized and moving forward.
