Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to support the transition of Digital Collection Services from on‑premises to AWS GovCloud. You will provide hands‑on administration, configuration, troubleshooting, security, and operations for the AWS infrastructure.

The role requires strong AWS infrastructure experience, including EC2, FSx ONTAP, IAM, networking, and CloudWatch, and the ability to operate in a hybrid AWS, Azure, and VA on‑premises environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred and 12+ years of related experience.
• 5+ years in cloud infrastructure or systems engineering.
• 3+ years hands-on AWS administration.
• Experience in AWS GovCloud or regulated cloud environments.
• Hands-on with EC2, FSx for NetApp ONTAP, S3, IAM, and VPCs.
• Experience with CloudWatch and AWS CLI for operations.
• Knowledge of hybrid/multi‑cloud setups (AWS, Azure, on‑prem).
• Security, compliance, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, and troubleshoot AWS GovCloud infrastructure.
• Manage EC2 instances including Windows Server.
• Configure FSx for NetApp ONTAP storage & S3 storage.
• Maintain IAM roles, policies, and access controls.
• Manage VPCs, security groups, firewall rules, and routing.
• Implement CloudWatch monitoring, logging, and alerts.
• Coordinate hybrid cloud connectivity (AWS, Azure, on‑prem).
• Develop runbooks and technical documentation.
