Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to transition DCS from on-prem to AWS GovCloud, with hybrid AWS/Azure/on-prem operations. You will administer EC2, FSx ONTAP, S3, IAM, VPCs, and CloudWatch, ensuring secure connectivity across environments. Strong automation and documentation skills are essential.

The role requires 12+ years in IT, 5+ years in cloud infra, and 3+ years AWS admin, with a Public Trust/Suitability clearance potential. Fully remote within the continental US.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Engineering or related field plus 12+ years of experience (equivalent experience considered).
• 5+ years in cloud infrastructure or systems engineering.
• 3+ years hands-on AWS administration.
• Experience in AWS GovCloud or regulated cloud environments.
• Hands-on EC2 (Windows Server) administration.
• Experience with FSx for NetApp ONTAP and S3 storage.

Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, and troubleshoot AWS GovCloud infrastructure.
• Manage EC2 instances, including Windows Server.
• Configure FSx for NetApp ONTAP storage environments.
• Manage S3 storage and related infrastructure.
• Configure IAM roles, policies, and access controls.
• Configure and troubleshoot VPCs, security groups, firewall rules, routing, connectivity.
• Implement and maintain CloudWatch monitoring, logging, and alerting.
• Support secure connectivity between AWS, Azure, and on-prem environments.
• Use AWS CLI and automation tools for admin tasks.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, storage, network, and performance issues.
• Support cloud security and compliance requirements in GovCloud.
