Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to transition DCS to AWS GovCloud, supporting hybrid AWS/Azure/on-prem environments. The role emphasizes hands-on administration, security, and operations for large-scale evidentiary data and DCS applications.

The ideal candidate will have strong AWS GovCloud experience, EC2 management, FSx ONTAP and S3 expertise, and the ability to coordinate across VA and AWS teams. Remote work within the continental US is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS/IT/Engineering preferred.
• 5+ years of cloud infra engineering experience.
• 3+ years in AWS administration.
• Experience in AWS GovCloud or regulated clouds.
• Hands-on EC2 administration with WindowsServer.
• Experience with S3, IAM, VPCs, and CloudWatch.
• Knowledge of security, access controls, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, and troubleshoot AWS GovCloud infrastructure.
• Manage EC2 instances, including Windows Server deployments.
• Configure FSx for NetApp ONTAP and S3 storage.
• Manage IAM roles, policies, and access controls.
• Configure and troubleshoot VPCs, security groups, and networking.
• Implement CloudWatch monitoring, logging, and alerts.
• Support hybrid or multi-cloud with Azure/on-premises.
• Develop runbooks and technical docs.
