Job summary

Wieland in Illinois seeks a Senior Reliability Engineer to lead maintenance and reliability across the East Alton plant, owning SAP PM and driving predictive maintenance, root-cause analysis, and maintenance planning. You will collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, EHS, and Engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• 4+ years of reliability, maintenance, or engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) and maintenance planning systems.
• Strong knowledge of predictive maintenance technologies and root cause failure analysis.
• Experience working with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and automated industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure all maintenance and reliability activities comply with LOTO, electrical safety, machine guarding, OSHA, and plant safety standards.
• Partner with Operations, Maintenance, and EHS teams to support incident investigations, safety audits, interlock management, and continuous improvement of regulatory compliance and workplace safety.
• Own and maintain the SAP PM system, including equipment hierarchies, functional locations, preventive maintenance plans, job plans, BOMs, and reporting.
• Monitor and track execution of preventive maintenance work orders and maintenance compliance.
• Develop and Review oil analysis, vibration analysis, thermography, and other predictive maintenance reports; coordinate corrective actions as needed.
• Investigate equipment failures and downtime events, facilitate root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
