Job summary

ADM in Decatur, IL is seeking a Senior Maintenance Engineer to enhance asset reliability and maintenance effectiveness across the facility. You will provide technical leadership, develop preventive and predictive strategies, and collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering and Reliability teams to drive uptime and safety.

You will lead root cause analyses, mentor technicians, support RCm, and integrate maintenance best practices with capital projects.

Qualifications

• 15 years of experience in industrial manufacturing, with 10+ years in RM&A activities.
• Proficient in predictive and preventive maintenance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Word, Excel and CMMS.
• Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis, Cause and Effect or FMEA methodologies.
• Strong team player with ability to drive cultural change.
• Experience in vibration, infrared, alignment, ultrasonic, motor circuit, and lubrication analysis.
• Background working on rotating equipment, seals, piping, pumps, fans, blowers, and material handling equipment.

Responsibilities

• Deploy the equipment reliability strategy and integrate it with Performance Excellence.
• Promote safety and ensure compliance with ADM and site policies.
• Foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement within maintenance.
• Provide technical expertise to improve reliability, maintainability, and system performance.
• Support reliability initiatives through data analysis, assessments, and troubleshooting.
• Participate in FMEA and other reliability-centered assessments.
• Support and execute Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) on assets.
• Collaborate to integrate preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance.
• Develop and implement precision maintenance practices and procedures.
• Lead root cause analyses and develop corrective actions.
• Mentor maintenance technicians and engineers on best practices and new technologies.
• Serve as a technical resource for complex troubleshooting.
• Promote knowledge sharing and skills development.
• Maintain and update maintenance procedures and documentation.
• Ensure documentation of maintenance best practices.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in maintenance processes and workforce effectiveness.
• Maintain communication among Maintenance, Reliability, Engineering, Operations, and Capital Projects teams.
• Partner with Engineering to develop maintenance strategies for new and existing equipment.
• Support plant initiatives to improve asset performance and operational excellence.
