Job summary

Alliant Energy is seeking a Senior Engineer Generation focused on reliability to improve generation asset performance across the fleet. You will apply reliability engineering, maintenance strategy optimization, and CMMS expertise to drive preventive and predictive maintenance, asset health monitoring, and work management.

In this role you will collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams, lead maintenance program improvements, enhance Maximo data quality, develop asset health

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering program accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission.
• 7 years of related experience; ability to manage subcontractors and cross-functional teams.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; capable of working collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform complex assignments using deep analytical methods to propose solutions.
• Identify problems and recommend safety-conscious, cost-effective improvements.
• Present alternatives confidently to influence customer decisions and drive outcomes.
• Mentor less experienced personnel and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.
• Prepare detailed technical studies and project documentation for future reference.
• Manage project budgets and track accruals, communicating expected budget changes.
