Job summary

Electric Power Systems (EPS) is seeking a Sr. Relay Technician to lead protection and control testing, troubleshooting, and full project execution on substation and industrial systems across North America.

You will guide field teams, ensure safety, reliability, and successful commissioning while interfacing with customers and stakeholders. The role emphasizes strong technical leadership, team development, and hands-on experience with relay panels, transformers, and circuit breakers in

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Associate degree in electrical/electronic technology or related field.
5+ years of relevant industry experience preferred.
NETA III/IV certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead job site safety briefings and uphold safety culture.
Analyze protection schemes for power circuits and components.
Install, commission, test, and validate substation control circuits on relay panels and breakers.
Perform advanced end-to-end testing with relay test equipment and software.
Read and validate protection schematics and system configurations.
Develop project execution plans, outage sequences, and energization plans.
Coordinate resources and field activities to ensure on-time project completion.
Prepare comprehensive test results and commissioning documentation.
Interface with customers, utilities, and stakeholders to manage expectations.
