Job summary

Electric Power Systems is seeking a Senior Relay Technician to lead protection and control system testing, commissioning, and field execution for substations and industrial facilities across North America. This role requires deep expertise in analyzing protection schemes, managing complex projects, and directing field teams to deliver safe, reliable operation and thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• Pre-employment drug screen required for safety sensitive role.
• Criminal background check must be satisfactorily completed.
• Ability to work overtime and travel out of town as needed.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Hands-on experience installing, maintaining, testing & repairing protective relays.
• Knowledge of relay test software.

Responsibilities

• Lead job site safety briefings and enforce safety policies.
• Analyze protection schemes for power systems and control circuits.
• Perform installation, testing, and commissioning of relay panels and CB changes.
• Execute end-to-end testing using automated relay test equipment.
• Review and finalize test results, relay settings, and reports.
• Mentor Relay Technician I/II and interact with customers.
