Job summary

Electric Power Systems (EPS) is a NETA-accredited electrical testing and engineering firm providing acceptance testing, commissioning, and maintenance for data centers, utilities, renewables, and industrial facilities across North America.

The Sr. Relay Technician leads protection and control system testing, troubleshooting, and project execution. You will guide field teams, ensure safety, and deliver reliable substation solutions for diverse clients.

Qualifications

• Pass pre-employment drug screen due to safety sensitive position.
• Criminal background check clearance required.
• Ability to travel and work overtime.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Hands-on experience with protective relays in substations.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety briefings and enforce safety policies on job sites.
• Analyze protection schemes for power systems and perform commissioning.
• Perform testing of substation control circuits and relay panels.
• Read schematics and validate relay configurations.
• Mentor Relay Technician I/II and engage with customers.
• Develop project plans, outage sequences, and energization plans.
