Job summary

Qualus is seeking Relay Testing Professionals in Level III, Senior, and Lead roles in the United States (NH area) to commission and test protection and control schemes for substations and plants. You will work with IEDs, SCADA interfaces, and media converters, contributing to reliable power delivery while mentoring field technicians and engineers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in relay testing and commissioning in substations.
• Associate degree holders and candidates with equivalent technical training may be classified as Technicians; Bachelor's degree may be Engineers.
• Experience in handling simple volt-ohm-meter and working with hand tools.
• Experience reading One Line, AC & DC Elementary and Wiring diagrams.
• Ability to perform regular field work in various environments and weather.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Red-lines design documents throughout the drawing set (Single Line, AC/DC Elementary, Wiring, BOM).
• Performs End-To-End testing.
• Performs IED testing with automated test sets (Doble 6150, Omicron, Manta).
• Identifies risks in testing and commissioning those schemes and systems.
• Develops test plans, risk assessments, and practical protection & control concepts.
• Analyzes scope and drawings to create functional guidelines and risk assessments.
• Leads tasks within a project and provides technical leadership.
• Performs weekly site safety inspections.
• Supports Company and Customer policies and procedures.
