Job summary

Qualus Corporation seeks experienced Relay Testing Professionals (Level III, Senior, Lead) to commission and test protection and control schemes for utility substations and plants. You will work with IEDs, SCADA interfaces, and related media, with travel to client sites in the US.

The role requires 5+ years of relay testing experience, a related degree, and strong English communication. Opportunity for mentoring, travel-friendly schedules, and career development supported by the company.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in relay testing and commissioning in substations.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (or equivalent).
• Experience reading One Line, AC & DC Elementary and Wiring diagrams.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Fluency in English for safety-related communications.

Responsibilities

• Red-lines design documents across the drawing set (Single Line, AC/DC Elementary, Wiring, BOM).
• Performs End-To-End testing of protection schemes.
• Tests IEDs manually and with automated test sets (Doble 6150, Omicron, Manta).
• Identifies risks in testing and commissioning of schemes.
• Develops test plans, risk assessments, and practical protection/control guidelines.
• Leads tasks within projects and provides technical leadership.
• Performs weekly site safety inspections.
• Supports company and customer policies.
