Job summary

Qualus is seeking experienced Relay Testing Professionals in our Field Engineering team at the Level III, Senior, and Lead levels. You will oversee testing and commissioning of protection and control schemes for utility substations and plants, including IEDs, SCADA, and communications interfaces.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in relay testing and commissioning in substations.
• Technician level may be issued for Associate degree holders; Engineers for Bachelor's in EE.
• Experience reading One Line, AC/DC Elementary and Wiring diagrams.
• willingness to travel to client sites.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Excellent English reading/writing for safety communications.

Responsibilities

• Red-lines design documents across the drawing set (Single Line, AC/DC Elementary, Wiring, BOM).
• Performs End-To-End testing.
• Conducts IED testing with test sets (Doble 6150, Omicron, Manta).
• Identifies risks in testing and commissioning.
• Develops test plans and risk assessments for protection & control systems.
• Leads tasks within projects and provides technical leadership.
• Performs weekly site safety inspections.
• Supports company and customer policies.
