Job summary

EDG Inc. seeks a Sr. Relay & Protection Field Supervisor to lead field activities for capital construction projects in the New Orleans area.

The role reports to the Utility Construction Manager and supports substations and transmission work through commissioning and closeout, working with project teams and site personnel. The position requires extensive field experience, strong safety knowledge, and ability to coordinate outages, permits, and contractor activities while maintaining system

Qualifications

• Ten (10) + years of experience in Electric Utility Transmission & Distribution.
• Knowledgeable and able to interpret OSHA regulations and provide guidance to crews and management on proper application.

Responsibilities

• Participate in project teams to assist with scope, cost estimates and schedules.
• Ensure Relay Protection, SCADA (RTU) & communication systems are installed and commissioned safely.
• Coordinate with environmental, safety, and permitting teams to comply with regulations and project requirements.
• Perform QA/QC checks and monitor schedule and cost throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee field crews at substations and transmission line sites to ensure quality and safety.
