The Sr. Relayand Protection Field Supervisor will report to the Utility ConstructionManager and will be engaged in the project during the construction phase ofCapital Construction Projects for substations and transmission lines throughfinal commissioning and closeout phases. Below is list of activities the Relayand Protection Field Supervisor may be involved in throughout the life cycle ofa project from initiation to final commissioning and closeout.Project scopes vary as will the roles of aRelay and Protection Field Supervisor for each project.
High School Diploma or the equivalent
Ten (10) + years of experience in the Electric UtilityTransmission & Distribution.
Must be knowledgeable and be able to interpret and cite OSHAregulations and provide guidance to construction crews and upper management onthe proper application of these regulations in the workplace
Work is primarily conducted at ProjectConstruction Sites within Utility Company service area (may require occasionaltravel to other services areas).Thismight include electric Substations, Transmission and Distribution lines.
Interaction with other team members, as wellas supervisors and client personnel.
Must be able to wear safety equipment asrequired by the safety department for personal protection.
May be at more than one job site in a day andmust be able to tolerate climate changes.
Must be able to lift and carry twenty (20)pounds;
Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing orother communication capabilities, with or without reasonable accommodation,which permits employee to communicate effectively;
Ability to sit for prolonged periods of timewith or without reasonable accommodation;
Sufficient vision or other powers ofobservation, with or without reasonable accommodations, which permits employeeto conduct analysis and investigations;
