Job summary

NeighborWorks America is seeking a (Senior) Relationship Manager to support a regional portfolio of network organizations, delivering capacity-building and strategic guidance. This remote role requires strong relationship skills and deep nonprofit expertise to align resources and outcomes across the network.

You will work with NWOs, leverage data for informed decisions, and collaborate on board governance and funding evaluations to drive sustainable impact in communities nationwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience considered.
• 5–7 years in community development or nonprofit management for RM; 8+ years for Sr. RM.
• Strong governance, financial analysis, and strategic planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a portfolio of network organizations and build executive relationships.
• Guide NWOs in utilizing NeighborWorks services and connect them to resources.
• Use NW data, market insights to support portfolio decisions.
• Maintain a customer-centric approach in engagements and solutions.
• Develop and implement capacity-building strategies for organizations.
• Demonstrate expertise in nonprofit and organizational development.
• Assist in performance assessments and action planning.
• Engage with nonprofit boards and provide board governance support.
• Review funding requests to ensure alignment with goals.
• Collaborate on long-term strategic vision beyond compliance.
