Job summary

NeighborWorks America is seeking a remote Relationship Manager/Senior Relationship Manager to serve NWOs across the United States. The role leads portfolio management, connects organizations with NeighborWorks resources, and uses data to guide decisions.

It requires strong nonprofit, governance, and financial analysis skills, plus excellent communication and project management capabilities. Based in a state within the NW-eligible region, you will travel as needed and collaborate with regional

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, Community Development, Urban Planning, Finance, Organizational Development, or a related field.
• 5–7 years of related experience in community development, affordable housing or nonprofit management for Relationship Manager; 8+ years for Sr. RM.
• Competencies include nonprofit management, board governance, outcome-based measurement, financial analysis, communication, and project management.

Responsibilities

• Portfolio management of a network of organizations, engaging leaders and board members in person and virtually.
• Guide NW services and connect organizations to NeighborWorks resources and experts.
• Use NW data, market analysis, and performance metrics to support portfolio decisions.
• Maintain a customer-centric approach and develop capacity-building strategies for organizations.
• Plan strategically for long-term success and organizational development.
• Assess and improve board performance; provide training and strategic planning support.
• Review funding requests and align them with organizational goals.
• Collaborate with NWOs on strategic vision beyond compliance, planning for impact.
