Databricks is seeking a Senior Counsel, Regulatory to lead our response to the evolving global regulatory landscape. This role sits on our Corporate Legal team and will own a new cross-functional regulatory practice while providing business-focused legal advice to stakeholders across the company.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in technology/regulatory matters at a law firm or in-house.
• Experience advising on global data, digital, and technology regulation (EU AI Act, Data Act, DORA, NIS-2, DSA, DMA, etc.).
• Experience supporting SaaS, cloud, or data-platform products and collaborating with Engineering, Product, and Security teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary internal SME on emerging global regulatory frameworks outside privacy and export controls.
• Lead strategic implementation of regulatory requirements and maintain centralized roadmap and incident playbooks.
• Embed regulatory compliance by design into the Data Intelligence Platform and related workflows.
