Job summary

Amazon is seeking an experienced Senior Regional Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Manager to partner with regional operations teams to implement WHS policies and ensure compliance with local, regional, and federal regulations. You will lead a team of safety professionals and drive lean improvements to reduce ergonomic risk and improve working conditions.

You will mentor site leaders, communicate clearly, and analyze safety data to guide continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 7+ years of increasing responsibilities in safety and/or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, service operations, or relevant experience.
• 7+ years of increasing responsibilities in people and performance management.
• Experience implementing lean principles and process improvement in an operational environment.
• Ability to travel up to 50%.
• Office within one of the designated region's sites. Willingness to relocate if not currently within region.
• Willingness to work a variety of shifts, including nights and weekends, as required.

Responsibilities

• Act as SME of local/regional regulations and company WHS policy.
• Provide guidance and oversight to ensure compliance to all applicable Amazon WHS policies.
• Measure regions and sites’ performance against WHS policies and fix deficiencies.
• Ensure WHS recordkeeping and data integrity with accurate reporting and metrics.
• Deliver on-time and quality projects to Operations.
• Analyze WHS metrics and incident trends to justify resource allocation.
• Audit recordkeeping and Global WHS database entries for compliance.
• Manage and mentor FC WHS Managers and WHS Associates.
• Spend time at fulfillment centers and seek input for program improvements.
• Lead safety improvement Kaizens with Operations teams.
