Job summary

Amazon is seeking an experienced Senior Regional Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Manager to partner with regional operations to implement WHS policies and ensure regulatory compliance. You will build and mentor a regional team, drive continuous safety improvements through Kaizens, and influence operations leadership with data-driven risk assessments.

The role requires leading and training WHS professionals, communicating clearly, and aligning safety practices across multiple FCs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 7+ years of increasing responsibilities in safety and/or environmental programs.
• 7+ years of increasing responsibilities in people and performance management.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.
• Office within one of the designated region’s sites; willing to relocate if not in region.
• Shift flexibility including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Act as SME of local/regional regulations and company WHS policy.
• Provide guidance to ensure compliance with Amazon WHS Policies.
• Measure regional/site performance against WHS requirements and fix deficiencies.
• Maintain WHS recordkeeping and provide accurate reporting and metrics.
• Lead safety initiatives and Kaizens with cross-functional teams.
• Mentor FC WHS Manager and WHS Associates.
• Spend time at fulfillment centers to gather improvement opportunities.
• Lead injury reduction efforts and training program effectiveness.
