Job summary

Amazon seeks an experienced Senior Regional Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Manager to partner with regional operations, implement WHS policies, and ensure compliance with local, regional, and federal regulations. You will drive continuous improvement using lean principles and Kaizens to reduce ergonomic risk and create a safe working environment for Amazon’s Associates.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in safety and/or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, service operations, or related field.
• 7+ years in people and performance management.
• Experience implementing lean principles and process improvement in an operational environment.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% and relocate if not in region.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for local/regional regulations and company WHS policy.
• Oversee compliance with all applicable Amazon WHS policies.
• Analyze WHS metrics and incident trends to allocate resources and reduce risk.
• Develop and mentor FC WHS Managers and associates.
• Lead safety program improvements and Kaizens with Operations teams.
