Job summary

Amazon is seeking an experienced Senior Regional Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Manager to partner with regional operations, execute WHS policies, and ensure compliance with local, regional, and federal regulations.

You will lead a team of safety professionals, drive continuous improvement using lean methods, train operations leadership, and provide robust risk assessments and safety data analysis to protect Amazon Associates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 7+ years of safety/environmental program experience in manufacturing or operations.
• 7+ years of people and performance management experience.
• Experience implementing lean and process improvement.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Act as SME of local and regional regulations and company WHS policy.
• Provide guidance and oversight to ensure compliance with WHS policies.
• Measure regions’ and sites’ performance against WHS requirements and fix deficiencies.
• Ensure WHS recordkeeping, data integrity, and accurate reporting.
• Deliver on-time and high-quality WHS projects to Operations.
• Analyze WHS metrics and incident trends to allocate resources appropriately.
• Audit global WHS standards and local regulations across sites.
• Lead and mentor FC WHS Managers and Associates in assigned FCs.
