Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Sr. Regional Environmental Engineer to support regional development strategies and site-specific environmental permitting for data centers and infrastructure.

You will lead due diligence, permitting, and compliance efforts across multiple states, coordinating with Real Estate, Legal, Risk, and Design teams to ensure timely and compliant project delivery. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Experience delivering multi-media environmental due diligence, permitting, and compliance projects with CWA 404 and NPDES permitting.
• Experience delivering environmental permits, approvals, and plans for data center locations and expansions.
• Experience coordinating with cross-functional teams and regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities

• Assess environmental risks and develop mitigations for data center siting and development.
• Lead environmental due diligence (Phase I/II), regulatory evaluations, and resource assessments.
• Deliver environmental permits and plans for on-time, compliant construction and operation of data centers.
• Communicate requirements and risks to internal and external partners.
• Coordinate with Real Estate, Design, Legal, Risk, Power and others to optimize site designs.
