Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in the United States seeks a Regional Environmental Engineer to lead permitting and compliance for AWS data centers and infrastructure.

You will partner with Real Estate, Legal, Risk, and Design teams to develop regional permitting strategies and ensure timely, compliant project delivery. The role requires 7+ years of environmental due diligence experience, with CWA 404/NPDES permitting expertise, and multi-state project experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent is required.
• Experience delivering environmental due diligence, permitting and compliance projects is required.
• Experience with large projects and multi-functional teams is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess environmental risks and develop mitigations for data center siting and development.
• Lead Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessments and permitting evaluations.
• Deliver environmental permits, approvals, and plans for new data center locations.
