Job summary

Smithfield Foods is seeking a Senior Regional Engineering Manager to lead engineering across multiple plants, shaping strategies and driving performance improvements. You will mentor lower-level engineers, align maintenance and reliability with production goals, and partner with operations to deliver safe, high-quality food at scale.

This role requires strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to travel up to 50% to support diverse locations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field with 8+ years of experience.
2+ years of team management or project leadership experience.
Experience applying engineering principles to operational and design issues.
PM skills; Contract Administration; National codes and standards interpretation.
Proficient in engineering economics.

Responsibilities

Lead engineering team members to cover multiple plants and oversee Project Engineering teams.
Manage direct reports across disciplines and ensure priority projects are resourced.
Oversee equipment tests, FATs/SATs, master plans, and new equipment opportunities.
Develop and maintain M&E programs, policies, and procedures for safe food production.
Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Local engineering codes and regulations.
