Job summary

Smithfield Foods is seeking a Senior Regional Engineering Manager to lead game-changing operational strategies across multiple locations. You will guide staff, optimize maintenance and engineering processes, and ensure peak plant performance with strong cross-functional collaboration.

You will drive the engineering agenda, manage major capital projects, and maintain compliance with safety and regulatory standards while nurturing a high-performing team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field and 8+ years of experience.
• 2+ years of team management / project leadership.
• Ability to apply engineering principles to operational and design issues.
• PM skills; Contract Administration; knowledge of national codes and standards interpretation.
• Proficient in AutoCAD.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering teams across multiple plants to ensure optimal performance.
• Oversee annual capital budget up to $50mm and resource planning.
• Provide technical leadership for production technologies and process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with codes, regulations, and food safety standards.
• Develop and mentor engineers; drive safety and collaboration.
