Job summary

Smithfield Foods is seeking a Senior Regional Engineering Manager in the United States. You will lead engineering teams across multiple plants, drive production technology improvements, and ensure safe, high-quality meat production.

You will manage an annual capital budget up to $50 million, develop the Engineering Excellence assessment, and mentor lower-level engineers while aligning with regulatory and company standards. Travel up to 50% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field is required.
• 8+ years of relevant experience with increasing responsibility.
• 2+ years of demonstrated team management or project leadership.
• Ability to apply sound engineering principles to operations and design issues.
• PM skills, contract administration, and knowledge of national codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering teams across multiple plants to ensure optimal performance.
• Manage annual capital budget up to $50mm and ensure proper resource allocation.
• Provide technical leadership for production technologies and equipment upgrades.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Develop leaders and promote safety, communication, and collaboration.
