Job summary
US Foods is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Technician to keep a safe, reliable fleet by performing preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel equipment including tractors, trailers and lift gates. The role requires 3 years of hands-on reefer/refrigeration experience, travel willingness and forklift/maintenance literacy in a fast-paced environment.
The position is onsite with a schedule of Sunday to Thursday evenings and offers comprehensive benefits, uniform provisions, and retirement plan
Qualifications
- 3 years of verifiable hands-on experience as a Fleet Reefer/Refrigeration technician.
- TK/Carrier Refrigeration Certifications.
- Willing to travel and attend US Foods training.
- Diagnostic and troubleshooting competency for reefer equipment repairs.
- Own personal hand tools.
- Able to read and write legibly; basic math skills.
- Read and understand technical service manuals.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild, replace and complete all required repairs on diesel equipment (tractors, trailers, bobtails, lift gates).
- Perform preventative maintenance within DOT standards.
- Receive road calls, coordinate with third party vendors and plan actions.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment per safety rules and regulations.
- Document equipment repairs and parts used in fleet software via tablet.
